Again I hate to say this but our public schools are failing us. Our universities aren’t doing much better. Folks today are conflating free markets with government regulation and thinking the later can keep the other free.
Free markets simply defined by Merriam-Webster are “an economy operating by free competition “ in other words free from government intrusion. Economic fascism is defined as “an economic system, fascism is socialism with a capitalist veneer.” Simply put the government doesn’t own industry, but heavily regulates it.
Pro net neutrality folks believe that only through regulation can the internet remain free. Folks that is plain wrong thinking and it needs to be addressed. Access to the internet is regulated the most at the local level, by means of a grant of monopoly to one company by local municipalities. This is the bigger threat to free and open internet, but federal government regulations can only hurt not help to make the internet truly free!!!
