For the past few months I have been dealing off and on about the issue of net neutrality. The one overriding theme I have seen is the lack of faith in free markets. Our schools and lamestream media have demonized capitalism to the point the folks don’t know which end is up or down economically speaking.
There is one undisputed fact of economics, government regulations don’t work like they were intended to. Most if not all economic driven regulations are supported by one group to strangle the competition from another group. This is what is called crony capitalism or economic fascism. The 2015 net neutrality rules are a good example of economic fascism, where the government controls and industry through regulations.
In order for the internet to be truly free-market based, we are going to have to get rid of regulation, and get real creative to compete with incumbent ISP’s. There are some new technologies on the horizon that may set the current model on it’s head. But these new technologies will not have a chance to compete without first removing the barriers to entry like regulations!!!
