I’m a Christian, and anyone who knows me knows this. There are certain ideas as a Christian that I hold as truths in my life, and one of them is, Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of humanity!!! Jesus loved us that much, that he gave his life for us, no matter how we classify ourselves.
Your skin color doesn’t matter to Jesus, nor any other factor we many come up with to describe ourselves. That fact that some folks think otherwise, is a heart issue, not a skin issue!!! To divide folks up because they have a different skin color than other folks is sinful and has no place in civilized society!!!
God created all of mankind equal, and if you don’t believe this you are calling God a liar!!! God sees our hearts, souls and minds, and not what we look like on the outside!!! We as Americans need to teach each other these basic truths, if we don’t then we don’t deserve to survive as a nation!!! If we don’t condemn hatred everywhere we will never be whole as a nation, and we will not survive!!!

On of the most fundamental freedoms we have in America, is free speech!!! Our great republic was founded on the idea that men and women have the freedom to speak their minds!!! All of our other God given rights hing on our ability to engage in civil public discourse!!!
There is a movement today that started back in the early 1900’s to use the law to quell political speech. And in using the laws to limit free speech , those folks created the idea that if you allow someone to speak their mind, then you must also agree with that person. If that were the case, no one would know what they stood for in the first place!!! I support everyone’s freedom of speech, even when I would spend the rest of my life opposing what was said!!!
The anti-freedom groups are using labels to try to silence those they don’t agree with. Hate speech is so subjective that you can’t even qualify it. Calling folks Nazis, KKK, or any other label who are not part of those ideologies does nothing but foster true hate for those who are the labelers!!!
Freedom must be defended at all costs, but violence must never be used to promote freedom. Preaching the ideas of freedom and liberty are the best and brightest way to defend our freedoms and liberties!!!

Episode 869 Peace though strength, not force!!!
Now some folks may disagree with me on the title of my show, but give me a minute to explain. Military peace can only be obtained through strength of arms, and the use of those arms. In the marketplace of ideas, peace through strength means the strength of your argument. Force can never change hearts and minds!!!
If you have a good idea, that may lead to an ideology, then you need to present it in the marketplace of ideas with strong, reasoned arguments. Logic, facts, truth, and patience are the bedrock of a good argument. Being willing to air out your ideas, if they have merit, will only strengthen them.
The reason why anti-freedom groups don’t like the marketplace of ideas, is because most of their ideas have been put into practice in the past and failed. They never see that their ideas have failed, they only see that they are smarter than those who have gone before so they will succeed because of their superior intellect over their forebears.
Individual freedom, when put into practice, and the ideas that support freedom and liberty are introduced into the marketplace of ideas, they always withstand the test of time, and idiocracy!!!

Episode 868 With all the noise from the alt-right and the alt-left, our nations history is being drowned out in a sea of accusations from both sides of the political spectrum. This quote was shared with me “Black people who were never slaves are fighting white people who were never Nazis over a confederate statue erected by Democrats, because Democrats can’t stand their own history anymore and somehow it’s Trumps fault? Interesting!”
What is missing is the main reason the Civil war started in the fist place, taxes!!! The tariff act of 1828 was an unfair act for the south, because it did nothing to protect southern production of the crops that were grown there, and it enabled the north to exploit duty free import of the same crops the south grew! The south sought relief, but the crony capitalist who controlled the federal governmnet didn’t care.
Vice President John Calhoun “warned that if the tariff of 1828 was not repealed, South Carolina would secede. It cited Jefferson and Madison for the precedent that a state had the right to reject or nullify federal law.” 1States rights over the federal governmnet were at stake in the south, and in this matter the US Constitution was on the side of the south!!! Slavery wasn’t an issue until the north needed to rally the troops to win an unjust war!!!

Episode 848: The DOJ is on the wrong side of drugs in America!!! From the early in the 1900’s to today, the federal government has tried to stop Americans from using drugs and alcohol. For whatever reason Americans want to force other Americans to bend to their idea of moral living. The problem with forcing folks into a moral standard, it never works, and no matter what laws you pass you will never obtain your goals.
Morals have to be taught through reason and common sense, and even then, you may not change a person mind. Like most of what is important in life it must not only be taught, but it also must be learned and accepted by the person being taught. You can’t force folks to learn what you want them to!
The Us Constitution is a limiting document and only grants the federal government a few and well defined powers given to them by the states. And the framers were word smiths, and did a fantastic job of wording our founding documents so there wouldn’t any confusion. The confusion comes from men and women who want to wield power over We the People and make loopholes in the Constitution where there are none!!!

Episode 847: I keep hearing the drum beats from the left that there is a revolution coming, and folks like me will be done away with. Too many Americans don’t know what socialism is all about, and some times I don’t think they want to know.
Somewhere around 50% of Americans are on the government dole in some form or fashion. They are afraid to upset the status quo, for fear of loosing what the government doles out to them. Americans have been lied to for so long about how good and benevolent the government is! They forget that a government that is big enough to give you everything, is also big enough to take it away!!!
Those who support socialism in America never talk about individual freedoms and liberties. A free individual that has liberty by law, will always choose what’s best for them, which more time than not is best for society!!! Is the individual charitable, yes but they are not forced to be. Is the individual compassionate, yes but they are not forced to be. Without FREEDOM and LIBERTY BY LAW we are SLAVES to the government and the individuals who support that system of government!!!
I bow a knee to no one except God and Jesus Christ, and will not be a slave to anyone!!! I will defend the freedoms and liberties of all who will seek the same, and appose those who seek to destroy the very freedoms and liberties they abuse to try to take mine away!!!

Episode 846: The longer I do my radio show The Dan Clements showthe more I realize that the average American is willfully ignorant of Americas Constitution!!! I do mean to say willfully because in this information age there isn’t an excuse for not knowing Americas founding documents!!!
The anti-freedom folks in America don’t even know what the Constitution says, yet they lie to Americans and tell them that the Constitution gives them the authority to do the things they do. How can Americans fall for their lies? Because they themselves don’t know what the Constitution says!!!
Do you need to be a Constitutional scholar to know what it says? If this is the case, then why did the framers of the Constitution publish letters to the different media outlets at the time to educate the People on what and why they were establishing the items talked about in the Constitution? It’s not that we need scholars to interpret the Constitution, we need more Americans to take a little time out of their live to sit and study the Constitution for themselves!!!

Episode 845: Every day that I interact with folks on social media, just confirms something I have long known, our education system in America is broke!!! Our education system isn’t teaching civics 101, and then folks go out into the world and don’t continue their education. I include higher education in this mess.
It seems some folks stop educating themselves after they accomplish the amount of schooling they want. Obtaining knowledge should be a lifelong pursuit. But we should not be like those of whom the Apostle Paul spoke to Timothy about in 2Ti 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Why were they not able to know the truth? Because their motives were not pure, and they only learned what they needed so they could hoodwink gullible folks!!!
If we don’t interpret things right in our lives, that doesn’t just affect us, it affects everyone we come in contact with. Trying to teach an American something they should already know puts a time burden on everyone involved. Refuting those who on purpose gets things wrong to advance an agenda, waste everyone’s time and energy, and causes the week and gullible to stumble and fall!!!
