Episode 849: On yesterday’s show we talked about the Constitution and the commerce clause as it pertains to drugs in America. I talked about how the US government has been disregarding the Constitution and the restraints in it for many years now!
This disregard for the Constitution has economic consequences for America. When the federal government sets up alphabet bureaucracies like the FDA, DEA, ATF, and so on, it takes a lot of tax dollars from the American people set set up these bureaucracies. And not to mention the cost of prisons to house end users of drug abuse, and the unfunded mandates placed on states!
The founders set up a system of government, that placed the sovereignty of the people above both the states and the federal government. And the states created the federal government to take care of a few defined things that the states couldn’t do for themselves. The states have failed the People by not keeping in check the federal government. We need strong states governments to tell the federal government, that when they do something they are not authorized to do, we will not comply!!!

Episode 848: The DOJ is on the wrong side of drugs in America!!! From the early in the 1900’s to today, the federal government has tried to stop Americans from using drugs and alcohol. For whatever reason Americans want to force other Americans to bend to their idea of moral living. The problem with forcing folks into a moral standard, it never works, and no matter what laws you pass you will never obtain your goals.
Morals have to be taught through reason and common sense, and even then, you may not change a person mind. Like most of what is important in life it must not only be taught, but it also must be learned and accepted by the person being taught. You can’t force folks to learn what you want them to!
The Us Constitution is a limiting document and only grants the federal government a few and well defined powers given to them by the states. And the framers were word smiths, and did a fantastic job of wording our founding documents so there wouldn’t any confusion. The confusion comes from men and women who want to wield power over We the People and make loopholes in the Constitution where there are none!!!

Episode 847: I keep hearing the drum beats from the left that there is a revolution coming, and folks like me will be done away with. Too many Americans don’t know what socialism is all about, and some times I don’t think they want to know.
Somewhere around 50% of Americans are on the government dole in some form or fashion. They are afraid to upset the status quo, for fear of loosing what the government doles out to them. Americans have been lied to for so long about how good and benevolent the government is! They forget that a government that is big enough to give you everything, is also big enough to take it away!!!
Those who support socialism in America never talk about individual freedoms and liberties. A free individual that has liberty by law, will always choose what’s best for them, which more time than not is best for society!!! Is the individual charitable, yes but they are not forced to be. Is the individual compassionate, yes but they are not forced to be. Without FREEDOM and LIBERTY BY LAW we are SLAVES to the government and the individuals who support that system of government!!!
I bow a knee to no one except God and Jesus Christ, and will not be a slave to anyone!!! I will defend the freedoms and liberties of all who will seek the same, and appose those who seek to destroy the very freedoms and liberties they abuse to try to take mine away!!!

Episode 846: The longer I do my radio show The Dan Clements showthe more I realize that the average American is willfully ignorant of Americas Constitution!!! I do mean to say willfully because in this information age there isn’t an excuse for not knowing Americas founding documents!!!
The anti-freedom folks in America don’t even know what the Constitution says, yet they lie to Americans and tell them that the Constitution gives them the authority to do the things they do. How can Americans fall for their lies? Because they themselves don’t know what the Constitution says!!!
Do you need to be a Constitutional scholar to know what it says? If this is the case, then why did the framers of the Constitution publish letters to the different media outlets at the time to educate the People on what and why they were establishing the items talked about in the Constitution? It’s not that we need scholars to interpret the Constitution, we need more Americans to take a little time out of their live to sit and study the Constitution for themselves!!!

Episode 845: Every day that I interact with folks on social media, just confirms something I have long known, our education system in America is broke!!! Our education system isn’t teaching civics 101, and then folks go out into the world and don’t continue their education. I include higher education in this mess.
It seems some folks stop educating themselves after they accomplish the amount of schooling they want. Obtaining knowledge should be a lifelong pursuit. But we should not be like those of whom the Apostle Paul spoke to Timothy about in 2Ti 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Why were they not able to know the truth? Because their motives were not pure, and they only learned what they needed so they could hoodwink gullible folks!!!
If we don’t interpret things right in our lives, that doesn’t just affect us, it affects everyone we come in contact with. Trying to teach an American something they should already know puts a time burden on everyone involved. Refuting those who on purpose gets things wrong to advance an agenda, waste everyone’s time and energy, and causes the week and gullible to stumble and fall!!!

Truth, Justice, Economics, and the American way!!!
For far too long we have been having a conversation in America, that focuses on issues that in the grand scheme of things gets us nowhere!!! Folks are out there dividing America on matters of personal subjective opinion. More times than not that opinion is not rooted in truth, or facts. And this problem is tearing America apart!!!
In order for each of us to have Justice, there must always be truth. The truth about any matter is of upmost importance. Without truth there can be no justice, freedom or liberty by law!!! Justice is earned by the pursuit of truth. Freedom is secured by the proclamation of truth. Liberty by law can only work, when we employ the truth.
You might be asking why I included economics in the title of this episode. Only by being just ourselves can we deal freely and fairly with other folks!!! Only by protecting our freedoms, and those of our fellow citizen, can we enjoy the economic contracts we enter into with each other!! And finally having our liberties protected by law, we can have a free and prosperous America that all, if they choose too, can enjoy!!!

Facts and truth , not narratives, should drive politics!!!
This is nothing new in politics, the fact that facts and truth have little to do with political agendas. As long as there has been politicians and politics, facts and truth are often pushed aside for personal gain and power!!!
In the American Republic where morals are a necessity to govern by consent, we have elected some very questionable politicians at all levels of government. It seems that those who shout the loudest and have the most money to spend advance their agenda and win over too many politicians. Even if what is purposed is not for ‘the general welfare of the country’ and facts show that, the truth of the matter doesn’t rule the day!!!
If we are going to survive as a great Republic, we are going to have to make our elected officials see the facts and the truth as they are, not as someone wants them to be. If Americans want a moral country, we are going to have to lead by example and expect our elected officials to adhere to an objective moral standard!!!

Americans want a free ride at the expense of other Americans!!!
The more I investigate those who are for Net Neutrality, the more I find an anti-freedom mindset! On one hand they want the government to make sure everyone has fair and equal access to the internet, and then scream when big internet companies are not protecting their privacy!!! You can’t have it both ways, either the government controls the whole internet, or the free markets do!!!
Right now I enjoy the same freedoms as everyone else on the internet, Net Neutrality didn’t change anything for me. I have never been blocked, throttled or ask to pay more for the internet. I have different levels of bandwidth from my ISP, meaning if I want more bandwidth, I pay a higher monthly fee, and that is fair. If I use more electricity, gas, propane, I expect to pay more for that increased usage.
Too many Americans want a free ride at the expense of other American, and I’m tired of it. Too many Americans are bad actors when it comes to the economy and what they expect out of it. Work for what you have, and pay other for what they have that you want, simple economics!!!

Education in America has indoctrinated us well!!!
Anti-freedom folks have been in charge of our education system in America since the late 1800. We sent our young folks over to European colleges and they were taught Fabian socialism. They brought this ideology home to America and it has been taught ever since.
Anti-freedom, socialist ideas can’t be taught. What I mean by that is, we learn through reason, and critical thinking based and facts and truth. One plus one will always equal 2, that’s a fact and it is true. When an Ideology can not stand up to reason and critical thought, the only way it can spread is through indoctrination!!!
America was founded by some of the most reasoned, critically thinking folks you will ever read about in history!!! Through reason and having the education to critically look at things, the founders of America looked at all the governmental system in history and came up with our Republic that has stood for more than 229 years!!!
Even though the past couple of generations have been indoctrinated to the point they believe what ever anti-freedom folks tell them, they can as Yoda would say “unlearn what they have learned”

The DNC is embroiled in another scandal at their headquarters. It seems their servers were not hacked, the information they say was hacked was actually downloaded from a computer hooked directly to their servers!
One of the narratives that has been pushed by the anti-freedom folks, is the Russian collusion story. And part of that story was how the servers at the DNC headquarters was hacked. New information is out that contradicts that narrative. The size of the file, the speed in which it was downloaded, and the time stamps on the files show it was a local possibly and inside job!
The more the DNC and the anti-freedom folks who support them drive their narratives about Russia and president Trump, the more this is blowing up in their faces!!!
