Episode 869 Peace though strength, not force!!!
Now some folks may disagree with me on the title of my show, but give me a minute to explain. Military peace can only be obtained through strength of arms, and the use of those arms. In the marketplace of ideas, peace through strength means the strength of your argument. Force can never change hearts and minds!!!
If you have a good idea, that may lead to an ideology, then you need to present it in the marketplace of ideas with strong, reasoned arguments. Logic, facts, truth, and patience are the bedrock of a good argument. Being willing to air out your ideas, if they have merit, will only strengthen them.
The reason why anti-freedom groups don’t like the marketplace of ideas, is because most of their ideas have been put into practice in the past and failed. They never see that their ideas have failed, they only see that they are smarter than those who have gone before so they will succeed because of their superior intellect over their forebears.
Individual freedom, when put into practice, and the ideas that support freedom and liberty are introduced into the marketplace of ideas, they always withstand the test of time, and idiocracy!!!

Episode 868 With all the noise from the alt-right and the alt-left, our nations history is being drowned out in a sea of accusations from both sides of the political spectrum. This quote was shared with me “Black people who were never slaves are fighting white people who were never Nazis over a confederate statue erected by Democrats, because Democrats can’t stand their own history anymore and somehow it’s Trumps fault? Interesting!”
What is missing is the main reason the Civil war started in the fist place, taxes!!! The tariff act of 1828 was an unfair act for the south, because it did nothing to protect southern production of the crops that were grown there, and it enabled the north to exploit duty free import of the same crops the south grew! The south sought relief, but the crony capitalist who controlled the federal governmnet didn’t care.
Vice President John Calhoun “warned that if the tariff of 1828 was not repealed, South Carolina would secede. It cited Jefferson and Madison for the precedent that a state had the right to reject or nullify federal law.” 1States rights over the federal governmnet were at stake in the south, and in this matter the US Constitution was on the side of the south!!! Slavery wasn’t an issue until the north needed to rally the troops to win an unjust war!!!

These words should be meditated on by all mankind, but especially by all Americans!!! Our country seems to be falling apart at the seams, and our unique American culture that God has blessed us with. E pluribus unum—Latin for “Out of many, one” Takes on a new meaning in these troubled times in America. God calls everyone in every nation to repentance, when we become children of God through baptism and obedience, we become one in Christ Romans 12:5
Western culture is not based on race, ethnicity, or country of origin. Western culture is based on an ideology of freedom and liberty for all, period!!! Western culture is based on the idea “out of many one” we bring in good ideas, and weed out the bad ones. Everyone is equal at the starting line, but the outcome of your life may not be equal to others. As long as you have not been actually oppressed, or forcefully hindered, you determine the outcome of your own life!!!
America is more than the sum of it parts, America is an idea born of freedom, and defended with liberty by law!!! All the groups in Charlottesville that participated in violence aren’t acting like Americans should, they are acting like the tyrants from the past that their movement were founded on!!!

Episode 865: Violence is equivalent to violence, no matter who is doing it!!!
The lamestream media has their sound bites, and talking points from their ideological masters for yesterdays and today’s news cycle, or for as long as they think they can make money off of the narrative!! The phrase “moral equivalent” is being used by the lamestream media and politicains alike to try to score point against President Trump.
The narrative that has been created is that the violence of the “alt-left” is in no way equivalent to the violence of the alt-right” and whoever thinks this is obviously from the alt-right! The story has been put forth that the “so called violence” of the alt-left is a defensive violence in response to the alt-right. The violence of the alt-left is justified because of the ongoing oppression from the alt-right!
Violence that is used to advance a political ideology, and what the alt-left and right believe is a political ideology, can never be justified period. I place the alt-right and left in the same anti-freedom group, neither promotes nor protects freedoms! You can use force only to defend against real physical aggression. You can’t use force to silence those ideas you disagree with, that’s Nazism, fascism, socialism, and communism! And this violence by all groups involved in Charlottesville over the weekend, puts them on different sides of the same dirty coin!!!

Episode 864 American history disappears a little more each day!!!
The revisionist history movement in America is picking up steam. Removing historic reminders of American history, including the bad times of the civil war, and what the south represented. There are monuments all over America that depict folks who where important to out history as a country.
What has been going on over the past decade or so is a sanitization of American history. Instead of using history as a teachable moment, the PC anti-freedom crowds want to erase what they deem as bad like it never happened. Santayana is popularly known for aphorisms, such as “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” `
Correct thinking Americans can’t stand idly by while vast portions of our history disappears. Use all of history as teachable moments!!! If your arguments are not strong enough to live up to public scrutiny, and you can’t advance them without violence, then get better arguments or be quiet. Erase all the history you want, it will not change folks hearts and minds, it will only anger them and drive them violence to counter your violence!!! When that happens nobody wins!!!

Episode 863 Freedom of speech died in Charlottesville!!!
Unless you have been living under a rock, you couldn’t help but hear about what when on in Charlottesville VA. Unite the Right was holding a rally, and other groups came in support of them. Most of the groups are fringe groups of what is refereed to as the Atl-Right. But also in attendance was the BLM and ANTIFA groups, and they were active well before the rally was due to start!!!
There are some facts that the lamestream media and anti-freedom folks who support them have left out of their narrative. Unite the Right was granted a permit to rally, then the city revoked it, and then Unite the Right got a federal judge to reverse the cities rescinding of the rally permit. But while this was going on , Mike Signer mayor of Charlottesville VA and the city manager Maurice Jones granted BLM and ANTIFA groups a permit to rally on the same day as Unite the Right. What could go wrong?
The governor of VA Terry McAuliffe, the mayor and city manager of Charlottesville VA are all Democrats and identitarians. I believe they planned for this to happen so they could virtue signal to the world, look how much we care and are against right wing violence, all the while ignoring the violence from the militant arm of the Democrat party, BLM and ANTIFA!!!

Episode 862 The market place of ideas needs to be protected!!!
This last week has seen a lot of controversy over the Google meme “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber” fro both the freedom and anti-freedom side of the spectrum. Freedom folks thinks it’s about time the Tech industry was called out on it anti-freedom biases. And the anti-freedom folks decries the science that James Damore is pointing out about the differences in the two genders.
Some of the anti-freedom folks on YouTube are claiming that this is a sexist memo, and James needs to be fired and not ever hold a job again. Most of them I have watched don’t seem to have read the memo. A lot of how the anti-freedom crowd characterizes the memo seems to be coming from the “echo chamber” and has no bases in fact. Some have even called for the marketplace of ideas to be shut down!!!
These anti-freedom folks who live in their own little echo chambers do not understand what the “marketplace of ideas” is. If these folks had any clue as to what real freedom and real liberty was, they would know that it can never be shut down nor controlled!!! The anti-freedom folks in the Tech sectors of our economy need to have a reality check. If they continue down this regressive path they will find more and more of the freedom folks who work for them fleeing to companies who truly understand freedom and liberty, especially in the work place!!!

Ideological echo chambers are bad for everyone!!!
Living in an echo chamber will make you go deaf and drive you crazy. There are a lot of echo chambers in the world of ideas today, and they are making a lot of people crazy!!!
When we live in our own narrative, and wont allow any ideas in from the outside world, we become small minded and ignorant. Some folks don’t like knowledge outside of their own experience. Knowledge that don’t fit a certain set of criterias, is to be rejected, not debated!!!
When one live in an echo chamber they can expect to be ridiculed and challenged. The worst part of it all, they never grow intellectually, and even start to regress. Their only recourse is to try to get laws made that protect them from other ideas, and by doing so stifle debate and honest public discourse.

Epiosde 860: Comparing apples to onions-Christian/Political commentary
When doing comparisons with object, products, or ideas, you need to make fair comparisons. You wouldn’t give someone an apple to taste and then give them an onion to compare the taste and flavor. There isn’t any comparison between the two.
For a long time now America has been compared to socialized western countries, and we are told we need to be more like them in almost every aspect. I keep asking the question why? What have they really accomplished in the last thousand years? How have they advanced economically, religiously, governmental? It wasn’t until America came onto the scene, that the other western countries had any cosmetician for the hearts and souls of mankind. From then on there has been a divide between America and Europe, that can’t be overcome with more government control.
America, for the past 200 plus years lead Europe in every way!!! We were freer, our liberty was protected by law, and we worked from the idea that each person is sovereign over their own lives!!! Our political system is a radical departure from the rest of the world!!! The only reason I see that folks want to go back to a European style of living, is some folks think they know better how to live other folks lives!!! That is about as un-American as one can get!!!
