Rights retained by the People

by Dan Clements, Your Christian/Constitutional Warrior Tuesday September 19, 2017 Episode 887: One of the reasons the US Constitution was created was to secure the rights of the people. Not that our rights come from government, but rather the recognition that our rights proceed government!!! In today’s America, we seem to forget this most important point. Too many folks are…

Is the Constitution Still Relevant?

Episode 886   It has been 230 since the signing of the US Constitution, and our Republic still stands. Our Republic is battered and bruised by political relativism, by trying to tell the people that it can’t possibly address the societal ills of the modern age.

The biggest problem is, we as a society have stopped teaching the Constitutional values that the framers had laid on in the US constitution. The principals of limited government, freedom and liberty have but been forgotten by today’s generation. Today’s generation has not been taught that we are a Republic not a Democracy. They hear talking point driven narratives by the anti-freedom crowd that we are a Democracy, and the people should vote by mob rule and allow a select few to govern the masses.

As Americans we have forgotten our heritage of freedom and liberty and bought into the notion that a few intellectual elites know best how we ought to live our live. I heard Ronald Reagan voice this very same opinion years ago. The framers of our Constitution knew better, and knew that Americans are the rightful captains of their own ships, and could decide right or wrong how to live their own lives in freedom, liberty and peace!!!

Constitutional government or Bureaucracies, which one is right? F4A Friday!!!

Episode 885   This question depends on your point of view. If you believe that the US Constitution is out dated and irrelevant for today, you would prefer bureaucracies. On the other hand if your a strict constructionist, and believe in original intent, then you prefer Constitutional government. But which one is right? Which view did the framers intend to create and bring into existence?

Looking at the Constitution through the eyes of the framers and the intent they sought to convey is the correct and only way to view the Constitution and the Republic it created. To look at the Constitution any other way would be relativistic in nature, and give folks the wrong idea about the Constitution.

It’s simple, the Constitution was created to keep the Federal government in check. In keeping with the context of the Constitution, it’s a limiting document therefore any statement made in the Constitution is limiting also. Americans have done great damage to our Republic over the years because they have ignored the limiting principals of our Constitution!!!

Ethical and Moral Relativism

Episode 884   Ethical and Moral Relativism

Ethical and Moral Relativism is the idea that our ethical and moral choices depend on the situation we find ourselves in when we need to make these choices. Some folks believe that a persons circumstances can dictate their morality and ethics. Is this right? Can we pick and choose what morals or ethics we use in any given situation?

Sometimes we know it’s not ethical to do something, but that doesn’t necessarily stop us from doing something that’s morally wrong. Maybe we need something someone else has, but our situation is such that we think we need it more than the other person, so we steal it. Folks justify their actions by using relativism, and rationalize away the harm done.

If there isn’t a standard of conduct that folks live by, it would just be the law of the jungle, dog eat dog world. If my morals are not absolute, and I can violate them any time I want, what is the use of having morals in the first place?

Beware the Ethical Humanist!!!

Episode 883   Beware the Ethical Humanist!!! Ethical Humanist are the proverbial “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who subvert folks who don’t know any better. An ethical person reasons with themselves if something is right or wrong. They don’t instinctively know what is right or wrong because everything to them is situational. A moral person has already reasoned out if something is right or wrong, and does what is right.

Ethical humanist believe that morals evolve over time, because societies evolve over time. To the ethical humanist, there are no set in stone morals in which you can govern your life by. Each situation in life is unique therefore, morals need to adapt to each new situation. A moral person has learned that there are objective truths in life, and therefore there can be objective morals that do not change. What was moral 1000 years ago is still moral today. If we hold to certain truths about human relationships, then we are sure to hold to a certain moral code also based on those truths.

The bottom line is, ethical humanist believe in living their lives in a very subjective way. They have no moral standard that they live by. On the other hand, someone who lives their lives in a objective manner doesn’t face a moral dilemma when new situations in their lives come along. A moral person does what is right, without regard to how they feel, because it’s the right thing to do every time it needs to be done!!!

Voter fraud is widespread in America!!!

Episode 822:  Voter fraud is widespread in America!!!

Election Integrity is key to a healthy Republic!!! If we can’t make sure that our voting system is secure and accurate, how can we trust the folks who hold political office that benefited from a flawed system?

Let America Vote, A George Soros funded group, want to keep the voting system the way it is now. They need to rampant fraud and abuse, and will tell any lie to defeat common sense legislation to protect the integrity of the vote. Let America Vote wants to use this fraud to advance their anti-freedom agenda, that will lead to the destruction of our great Republic!!! One of the most egregious state laws of late is auto voter registration, where you are automatically registered to vote, and have to opt out of voting if you don’t want to be registered. Opt out!!! We need folks who want to opt in by choice not because you got a drivers license!!!

Scrubbing voter roles of invalid voters is the job of each state. Making sure that only those who want to vote, vote, no auto voter registration. Voter ID laws are needed to make sure we know who is voting and are allowed by law to do so!!! Insuring the integrity of the American vote is necessary to guard a fundamental right of Americans in this great Republic, this is why the anti-freedom groups in America need to be defeated!!!
