Episode 884:

Ethical and Moral Relativism is the idea that our ethical and moral choices depend on the situation we find ourselves in when we need to make these choices. Some folks believe that a persons circumstances can dictate their morality and ethics. Is this right? Can we pick and choose what morals or ethics we use in any given situation?

Sometimes we know it’s not ethical to do something, but that doesn’t necessarily stop us from doing something that’s morally wrong. Maybe we need something someone else has, but our situation is such that we think we need it more than the other person, so we steal it. Folks justify their actions by using relativism, and rationalize away the harm done.

If there isn’t a standard of conduct that folks live by, it would just be the law of the jungle, dog eat dog world. If my morals are not absolute, and I can violate them any time I want, what is the use of having morals in the first place?

Daily bible Reading: 2 Peter 1:18-21 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Hello, my name is Dan Clements, and I host a live show every Friday from 12 noon-1pm ET every week. I also record a daily show that is posted in the afternoon. It's called The Dan Clements Show on YouTube and on my show page. The Dan Clements Show is a Christian/political talk show where we talk about the issues of the day from a Christian point of view. We cover all topics of a political nature, and sometimes some topics that are not. I try to keep the show lite, engaging, and easy to understand. I want people to come away from my show knowing that they have learned something new, or how to look at an issue from a different point of view. So please come and be apart of the conversation. I also upload 1-3 short videos Monday - Thursday, so be on the lookout for those videos as well!!! I'm a veteran of the US Navy and the Army National Guard. I have been married to my wonderful wife Lori for almost 32 years and have 2 children. I love my God and my country and am working hard to teach the truth about both.
