There are a lot of folks going around today calling themselves Christians, and the way they act and talk doesn’t jive with the way they think and act. The term “Christian” has been so misused it’s no wonder people have a misconception and bad opinion of Christians.

What is a Christian? How do we know who is a Christian? Who set the standard for being a Christian? Is everyone who claims to be a Christian, a Christian? These are all good questions that need to be answered.

The Apostle Paul tells us about unity and oneness in Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,

3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. If we are to be unified with God and each other, shouldn’t we do everything we can to make sure we are following what God wants us to do?
