Episode 900: It’s Rights or Control, it can’t be both!!!
It doesn’t matter whether what God given rights your talking about, there are always going to be folks who want to restrict them, or strip them form folks. It’s the old question about control. Are folks capable of directing their own affairs? Are folks able to take make good decisions for themselves?
To answer the above questions depends on your political point of view. If you support a socialistic point of view, you tend to look at people as if they are sheep and need guidance every second of their lives!!! If you have a freedom/liberty point of view, you want to see folks live to what ever potential they see fit to live up to. Which one do you subscribe to?
You can’t protect freedom and liberty by restricting folks rights. Folks rights must be protected at all cost, and if they are not then you will soon find that no one can exercise their rights. Rights may not be absolute, but the protection of the People’s rights is absolute!!! Either we are free to live our lives they way we see fit, or we allow others to control our lives. There is no in between, you can’t have both!!!

Episode 899: Will Gun Control work??? After every major mass shooting incident in America, the drums start beating about gun control. The argument goes something like this, if we had less guns there would be less gun violence. Or the 2nd amendment is out dated and needs to be repealed!!!
Guns are amoral, they can’t operate without human interaction. No matter how long you leave a gun sitting around, it will never kill someone period!!! People who are mad about people being killed by guns and want to outlaw guns, are not made about drunk drivers. So far in 2017 there have been 11,764 deaths by guns and 25,705 deaths do to drunk driving. Should be ban cars because some folks use them as weapons? Using gun control logic the answer would be yes.
The problem is not the gun, it’s the user behind the gun. WND compiled a Big list of drug-induced killersand it is an eye opener. So instead of going off in an emotional rant every time a major mass shooting happens, take a couple of seconds and remember that guns don’t kill people by themselves!!!

Episode 898: I prefer dangerous freedom!!!
Some folks say that there is never a good time to talk about gun control. Others want to talk about it the second a tragity stikes that involves guns. Regardless of the time gun control is talked about, folks need to leave emotion out of it and use just the facts.
The anti-gun folks want to use emotions to sway Americans into agreeing with them. Emotions are ok at certain times and emotional release is a good thing as long as it is not carried to an extreme. But when you are talking about restricting or taking a persons fundimental rights away, you had better be coming from a standpoint of truth and facts!!!
The facts are that the anti-gun folks are hoping you react with an emotional response regardless of the facts. They don’t want you to know that more lives are saved and crimes stopped because a law abiding citizen had a gun, even if they never discharged the gun. The other fact is, evil people will always do evil things, period. No amount of wishing it was otherwise will stop an evil person from being evil. The sooner we learn this, the easier it will be to cope with the Las Vegas tragity!!!

Episode 896 Las Vegas shooting: It’s a heart not a gun thing!!!
By now most folks have heard about the mass shooting in Las Vegas. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victims of the shooting. It is always sad to see innocent folks getting caught up in the evil others do.
I don’t want to spend too much time on what the news is telling the nation. We will not know the whole story for a few days and to speculate on the situation is just that speculation. What bothers me the most is how certain folks take a tragedy like this and want to politicize it. Anti-freedom groups are calling for more gun control, as they always do.
Let’s let the family’s grieve, and folks recover and go home from the hospitals before we bring politics into this horrible tragedy!!!
