In matters of opinion
In matters of opinion who should prevail, individuals or the state? Does or can the state know more about an individual’s life then the individual themselves? When it comes to family matters who’s opinion should carry more weight, the individual or the state?
Opinions should always be part of a larger discussion when decisions or policy involve more than one person. In order for opinions to be taken seriously, they must be bolstered with facts. My opinion about what color to paint a wall is very subjective. My opinion on more weightier matters, needs to be objective and bolstered by facts, truth and information.
When individuals make choices in their lives, they can use whatever information they want, knowing that their choices are their own. When a society or country makes choices those choices affect almost every one. The affects can be positive or negative, but those choices need to be based on facts and truth, not on any false premise including unbolstered opinions!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!
I think we should stop celebrating the 4th of July, and get back to celebrating Independence Day!!! You say that I’m splitting hairs, but let me explain what I mean.
When we use just a date and say we are celebrating that date, we miss the significance of the date. It becomes routine to and just another holiday weekend. Our independence from tyranny is so important to America. It started America on a long road to all kinds of liberty and freedom!!!
Today we see that our independence is being threatened, not just by political forces but by apathy!!! Anti-freedom social democrats are eating away at our freedoms and liberties everyday with legislation to control their idea of Democracy. Apathy is allowing the anti-freedom forces in America to rewrite our history so Americans don’t know what was sacrificed to allow us to exercise or freedoms and liberties!!!

Why do we fuss and fight?
Why do we fuss and fight? Why do we make mountains out of mole hills? Why do we want to die on every ideological hills that we fight? Why do we take offense at every little slight that comes our way? Why are we seldom able to be corrected?
Far to many things in our lives are a facade, and not real. Far too many times in our lives we never show the real us, and so we put on airs, or an act. Far too many times we have been living a lie for so long it becomes who we are, and if there is a chance of our lies being found out, we lash out to prevent it.
Politics and ideologies can be like this. We start out with good intentions that the greater good is at stack, so we accept a lie and live with it. After a while that lie becomes truth to us, it becomes who we are and how we conduct our lives. The problem is when the lie is exposed, it tears at our very being and we will fight, sometimes to the death to prevent the lie from falling apart. If we are not willing to change for the truth and facts that may come our way to challenge the status quo of our lives, then we will die along with the lies we hold so dear!!!

Argybargy, is a lively discussion, argument, dispute. This is what we are all about at The Dan Clements Show!!! As always I look at life through a Christian perspective, and base my commentary on that perspective. Most of the topics I discuss on the show are not popular with mainstream opinion, or the regressive left in America. I will not shy away from difficult topics or criticism. If you have a different point of view than mine, I welcome a frank and honest discussion based on the merits of your argument, not your feelings.
I’m not always right and I do stand to be corrected when I’m wrong. Life is a growing process and we must never stop growing. We must never live our lives in an echo chamber, doing that will make us deaf, dumb and blind to the truth and facts we seek.

Whenever you tell a lie, sooner or later you will be found out. Whenever you share a lie, you become part of the lie and it cast you in a negative light. When you or a group use lies to attack someone and try to bring them down a notch, you destroy your credibility and reputation.
In order to be a credible news service, you would think that getting stories right, and factual would be paramount for your continued existence. Also claiming to be protected under the 1st amendment, should give folks in the news extra incentive to get stories right and factual.
There is a reason why the lamestream media is loosing to the new mainstreet media, credibility!!! The new mainstreet seems to take great care to get stories right and factual because they know if they don’t they will become the new lamestream media.
