The Trump administration is showing a glimmer of hope when it comes to draining the swamp that is D.C. President Trump said during his campaign he would drain the swamp in D.C. And things are starting to happen.
The administration’s budget is cutting agencies completely and closing them down. Other agencies are seeing their budgets cut, and the left is going crazy!!! But something is happening with the budget cuts that the left doesn’t know how to handle, private citizens are stepping up and standing in the gaps of the budget cuts, go figure!!!
The left believes that only government can do what private charities and citizens used to do before the progressive left took over D.C. When Americans see a need that they are passionate about, they will give to make sure that need is met!!! This is something the left in this country doesn’t put a lot of stock in, mainly the American people helping others in their time of need.

What rights do illegal immigrants and refugees have in America?
Again we need to deal with the issue of rights and who has them. Everyone on God’s green have rights because God gave them to them. But does that mean they can exercise them anywhere they want without responsibility or consequences?
This is the question that needs to be answered when it comes to immigrants entering any country. Any country that has a working government has laws, or should have laws, governing immigration and citizens rights or the exercise of those rights. Just because you have rights, doesn’t mean that governments will recognize those rights, or let you exercise those rights. Only governments set up by the people (little d democracies), that are self governed by the people, will choose for themselves the freedom and liberty to exercise those rights.
Just because you want to go to another country doesn’t mean that country has to recognize your needs, wants or desires. Most countries will help out for humanitarian reasons, but most countries also knows the difference between a humanitarian need and an invasion.

Judicial overreach and the left
Do you want a liberal, leftist outcome for your political ideology? Then find a federal judge in the 9th circus court of appeals and you will get one. U.S. District judge Derrick K Watson put a hold on the latest EO from president Trump. Why is it that leftist will never try to change the law through the legislative process, but will run to the courts to have them legislate from the bench?
For the most part leftist are lazy when it comes to legislation. They will ram an unpopular law through congress if they think it will score them votes, no matter how much damage it will do to America, case in point Obamacare!!!
And if the leftist disagree with a law, no matter how constitutional that law may be, instead of amending the constitution, they will run to the courts and try to change it there, or at the very least stall the implementation of the law until the other side gives up. This is not how a Republic works, this is how a democratic tyranny works!!! WE, are a nation of laws enacted by men, not a nation of men who use the tyranny of the minority to get it’s way and thwart the law!!!

Best of Show episode 659-Can governments regulate God given rights?
I have had a nagging thought in the back of my mind about our God given rights, and the government trying to regulate them. I was listening to the krisannhall.com show where she was discussing the topic of regulating our rights, Hillary’s Emails & Regulating Rights. While discussing our rights she made the point that the government does not have any enumerated powers to regulate our rights!!! This was what was nagging me all these years, and I had fallen into the liberal trap that the government can reasonably regulate our rights.
Define for me what is reasonable? Show me where in the Constitution that any government has the authority to regulate our rights? Where do our rights come from? These are reasoned and reasonable questions that need answered, and the left has a lot to answer for with their power grab of our basic God given human rights!!!

Government, is it the end all be all of life?
In America today I have observed a lot of folks depending on government to define who they are and what they can or can not do!!! Some folks have a misguided notion about where our rights come from. There are two major schools of thought on this, one is that governments grant us our rights, and the other is that we have our rights as a blessing from God, or the natural law point of view.
Depending on government for everything, or just a portion of things you have is a very dangerous position to be in. At any moment the government can change and the whims of those in power can change what they give you. If on the other hand, if your rights predate government, they can’t be arbitrarily changed at a moments notice. I believe too many folks conflate rights with consequences for exercising our rights.
When governments dictate what rights the people have and how they will exercise those rights, then you are not living in freedom or liberty, you are living in a despotism!!!

What’s past is prologue!!!
One of the reasons that the progressive left and their arguments are so exhausting, is they totally forget about history when it doesn’t support their modern way of thinking!!! To have to keep going back and correcting leftist on history and other subjects is tiresome and time consuming. And I’m beginning to believe that this may be a strategy to keep us busy, so we don’t see what they are really doing!!!
I have a hard time believing leftist are this ignorant of the facts of history, economics and human behavior!!! And if this is the case, that they really know these subjects and the facts about them, then we are dupes for trying to correct them. Non leftist need to stay on point, teach the facts as they are, not as we wish them to be, learn the lessons of history, and show the American people how a true Republic acts and helps it’s citizens to achieve their own potential through freedom and liberty, not tyranny and control by the leftist in America!!!

Social justice is not what the left thinks it is!!!
I have been saying for a long time that the progressive left has been defining the term social justice wrong. The progressive left believes it’s their job to correct all the perceived injustices in society, regardless if the individuals or groups they are trying to help wants their help.
I have always believed that we as individuals must do what is just and right in our lives, the lives of our families, and finally in our communities. Social justice outside of oneself is earned, and given by choice not forced upon or taken by society at large!!!

Who’s watching the watchers?
Every passing day we find out more and more about how our government is operating when it comes to our rights. At some point in America’s distant past, our rights as laid out in the Bill of Rights, were respected and protected by our Republic. I fear that time is lost to us at the moment, but can be set right!!!
The alphabet agencies who are suppose to protect us from foreign as well domestic enemies, I fear sees all American citizens as potential enemies and are treating us as such. With just a few key strokes the “Deep state” can pretty much listen to any conversation, or see just about anyone, if you have or carry modern electronics. We are even being told that some modern cars can be hacked and the drive by wire systems can be remotely controlled!!!
The 4th amendment is very clear about American’s right to privacy, and to be secure in their persons,houses,papers, and effects against unreasonable search and seizures!!! The elected representatives of the great Republic need to hold the “Deep State” accountable for the egregious breach of the 4th amendment!!!

Is the progressive left truly compassionate?
As we talked about on the show yesterday, episode 750, it is very exhausting to deal with the liberalism the left in America want to force on the rest of America!!! Because of the circular arguments of the left, we keep having to come back to the same issues over and over again!!!
My compassion shouldn’t cost other folks anything!!! If I get together with other like minded folks and help people in need, then our combined compassion shouldn’t cost any body else a dime!!! Being compassionate is not only taking care of a persons immediate needs, but also help folks see and take a path that would lead to self sufficiency. Sometimes folks take the path to self sufficiency and sometimes they don’t, but to allow those who can take that different path in life, but refuse to, is not compassion!!! Enabling someone does not benefit the person being enabled, but diminishes society as a whole, because of the dead weight society has to pull along because of the lefts so called compassion!!!
