I was involved with the Boy Scouts of America from my childhood all the way into my late adulthood. My association ended a few years ago when the BSA board of directors voted to allow gay’s into leadership positions. The BSA has lost it’s moral compass and has bowed to social pressure to change.
When an organization changes the way they do things that is contrary to their core established beliefs, they are no longer the same and should change their name and core beliefs. In my opinion they are no longer the “Boy” Scouts of America and their name should reflect that!!!
I wish some agitators in America would leave long standing PRIVATE organizations alone. If an organization is lacking something society believes they should have, society should start another organization that reflects their values. The Boy Scouts were not doing anything wrong and was not hurting anyone and they should have been left alone, but the SJT’s in America just couldn’t stand BSA values!!!
