America was set up the be a free country. What do I mean by that? I mean that our founders thought that we should be free to decide what is best for us as an individual, as long as we respect the freedoms and liberties of others!!! That mean we can’t use force to get our way nor can we go to government too force someone to conform to our ideas on how folks would live their lives!!!
Freedoms, liberties, private property rights, and contract law work the best in America, because it leaves the individual in control. I’m going to live my life in such a way as to not aggress against my neighbor in any facet of life, that includes the environment. If I our my business damages my neighbor’s property, in any way, I should have to compensate them. And being the free market capitalist that I am, I will not to any damage to my neighbor’s property, so I can keep as much capital gain for me and mine!!!
If someone want to act in an unfriendly way towards their neighbors, private property rights, contract law, and free speech, not regulations will stop the problem in the 1st place, and second, if someone is intent on doing someone or someone’s property harm, the courts not not regulations are the best way to fix a problem. Free speech in this instant can go a long way especially against a business who doesn’t want to be a good neighbor. Word of mouth has destroyed more business than any government regulation could hope to ever do!!!
