Sometimes when you get in the way of someone committing physical suicide, you end up hurt or dead yourself. Now trying to stop anyone one from committing suicide is a noble thing and should be pursued, just beware of the side affects.
It’s a different story when we are talking about political or spiritual suicide. Here we are talking about ideologies. Political suicide can end your career, and possibly the careers of those around you. Political suicide can also hurt the whole country and put actual lives at stake. Some may not look at political suicide in the same way I do. I believe that not protecting America against clear and present dangers, both internally and externally, is not only political suicide, but it may harm America in such a way that it will take years if ever to recover.
Spiritual suicide effects not only you but also other that care about you and only want what is best for you. The hurt and pain that you cause other may only be temporary, but the harm you do yourself is sometimes eternal!!! By not not taking great care to investigate what you believe and why you believe it has eternal consequences!!!
I still carry the emotional scares of my baby brother Matthew committing suicide, and may never completely heal, and I’m ok with that, it’s part of who I am today. What I can’t do is stand by and not say anything when I see a suicide about to happen!!! I may not be able to prevent the suicide, but folks are going to know at least one person cared enough about them to let them know someone is concerned and willing to help!!!
