Is there a difference between being a fundamentalist and a radical? Now you might think I’m avoiding the question, but hear me out. The difference depends on your point of view and the context your veiwing it in. When it comes to religion, you have to look at the book someone follows and decide if they are following the doctrine written in the book (fundamental). Or if they are doing something other than what the doctrine tells them to do (radical).
When it comes to politics in America the question hinges on what you believe the Constitution says as the framers, founders and ratifiers understood it to say at the time. If you believe the Constitution is a limiting document on the federal government and it should be followed (fundamental).
If you believe that we can just vote in government power and lay the Constitution aside (radical).
It’s all a mater of perspective and point of view. Context is king in most aspects of life. If you take something out of context (radical) and make life changing decisions based on that radical point of view, then you will find yourself in a very bad place in life that is hard to get out of. But if you look at life in context (fundamental) you are on the path that leads to a good place in life, and you will be free and have more liberty!!!
