By Dan Clements, your Constitutional Warrior
It’s one thing to challenge authority, it’s a whole other matter to dismiss authority out of hand. Case in point, Biblical authority. Biblical authority has been challenged ever since God created the heavens and the earth. Man has always dismissed God and his word as non-authoritative. Man has always rebelled against God and his authority, and set himself up as the ultimate authority.
Like wise when ever man has made or set forth a document as the rule of law, or authority, men have rebelled against that also. I am not placing the US Constitution on par with the Bible, it is after all created by fallen people, but is it suppose to be authoritative as far ans America is concerned?
Can we continue to dismiss Biblical and Constitutional authority and still be considered either Christians or Americans?
Daily Bible reading: Mat 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
Quotemeal: “Christ was in agony in prayer, Luke 22:44. Many when they pray are rather in lethargy, than in an agony. When they are about the world they are all fire; when they are at prayer, they are all ice.” — Thomas Watson
