Yes I believe public discourse to be of the utmost importance. With out public discourse we would not have the country we have today. Without public discourse, our country will be destroyed! We need to have a civil, honest, moral debate about issues that face everyone of us in America today!
We see so much civil unrest because we can’t have a civil conversation with each other. One side or the other shuts the debate down entirely, or slides into the politics of personal destruction. And neither approach solves anything, it only fosters hatred.
We must return to a more civil debate of issues where all sides are heard, so we can really solve problems, and make our society better for it!
Daily Bible reading: Gal 3:11-14 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.” 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “THE MAN WHO DOES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM.” 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Quotemeal: “The true Christian is like sandalwood, which imparts its fragrance to the axe which cuts it, without doing any harm in return.” — Sundar Singh
